With all these toys, our life might sound like a bunch of fun and games, but we take pet toys very seriously because we know that all animals need physical and mental stimulation to thrive. A good supply of high quality pet toys can make the difference between a lethargic or restless pet, possibly with behavior problems, and a healthy, happy, well adjusted companion. That's why For Other Living Things™ carries a big selection of pet toys that meet our exacting Critter, People, and Earth Friendly criteria - C.P.E. for short.

A Critter Friendly pet toy is safe. We look for toys that are made from non-toxic materials, like our willow toys for Birds and Small Animals, which are free of fumigants and pesticides. We are also very careful about selecting toys that are appropriate for each species. Our Manzanita Chew Toy might look like a nice bird toy, but the the galvanized wire is toxic to birds and the split ring connector could hurt a bird. However, this is a great toy for a chinchilla - it's safe and they love it! Of course, we always recommend using common sense. For example, if your dog is a vigorous chewer, it may not be safe to leave her alone with her new toys until you know whether she can bite off pieces or not. Other than the standard cautions, you can rest assured that the toys you find in your pet's section of our store are safe for your pet.

A For Other Living Things™ Toy must also be People Friendly. That means our pet toys are reasonably easy to utilize and maintain. The Dr. Noy's Refillable Catnip Toys are a perfect example.
