Natural Cat Toys

We just love watching a kitty at play - the stalking, the pouncing, the acrobatic leaps. At For Other Living Things, we know just how important kitty playtime is, so we worked hard to put together a great selection of cat toys. Catnip, mice, balls, wand-toys, we've got something for every kitty. When you choose from For Other Living Things selection of cat toys, you can rest assured that you are getting a safe and high quality toy to entertain your kitty with.

Most cats love to play with a ball. A ball is a good, classic cat toy and a 'must' for any kitty toy collection. One of our favorites is The Tossabout Cat Toy, an organic catnip scented ball of wool your cat will love to bat and claw and bite. Cats are naturally attracted to wool and the ball will repair itself just by tossing it in with the rest of your wash.

On-wand cat toys dangle a toy from the end of a stick, sort of fishing pole style, are a great way to let you join in the kitty playtime fun. When you wave and bounce the stick around, the toy on the end seems to come to life! You can choose whatever style your kitty prefers. There are feather toys and glittery toys and buggy toys, all kitty favorites! A few of our on-wand cat toys have a wonderful fuzzy ‘string’ that flutters around and is really excellent for sinking claws into.

For Other Living Things also has a big selection of catn ip toys, a real favorite with our crew. Our cats love the catnip bubbles and think that the hemp rope toy, which comes swimming in a bag of organic catnip, is just great. Another favorite is the Dr. Noy’s refillable catnip toys, cute little plush animals with a pocket in the back to put a fresh packet of catnip in when the old stuff looses its punch. We also carry a concentrated catnip spray which can be applied to practically any old toy to boost its appeal.

However, catnip isn’t for everyone, almost 1/3 of cats do not carry the gene that makes catnip so appealing. For Other Living Things offers honeysuckle cat toys for those cats who do not respond to catnip, and really for any cat who likes to play. We aren’t quite sure why honeysuckle makes some kitties want to play, but heck, it's safe, so as long as it keeps the cat happy, it’s ok with us.

Everyone likes to give their cat an occasional extra special toy. Check out our interactive cat toys for some fun cat toys that ‘play back’. The Play-n-Squeak Mouse is just the kind of toy that cats go crazy for, it squeaks every time your cat bats at it. If your cat loves to eat, try the ball. Just fill it with your kitty’s kibble, and let her bat it around to get the food to fall out – a great way for a pudgy kitty to get a bit more exercise. Any of these super fun toys will round out your supply of toys quite nicely.
