Natural Dog Treats

It has been said that man cannot live by bread alone, and the same is true for man’s best friend. For Other Living Things knows how important dog treats really are, so we have carefully found the best goodies out there, and we made sure to offer something for every dog and every occasion. Whatever kind of treats your dog prefers, you can rest assured that it you get it from us, it’s not just junk food. No by- products, no chemical dyes, no scary preservatives, ever, just healthy dog treats. We proudly list the ingredients of our treats, and when an ingredient isn't something that we immediately recognize, we try to add a link to explain its origin and purpose.

The classic dog treat is a biscuit, but things sure have come a long way from the days of plain old milk bones! Nowadays there are meaty cookies, and biscuits for puppies, peanut buttery cookies, and low allergen biscuits that are grain free or egg free or yeast free or free of whatever troubles your pup. We even have treats with good stuff added, like vitamins, herbs, or glucosamine, so you can give your pup her ‘medicine’ and she won’t even know it. Dog biscuits generally have a long shelf life and are great to keep on hand for an anytime treat, or toss a couple on top of your dog’s dinner to spice things up a bit.

Some dogs really prefer soft treats to crunchy cookies and biscuits. No problem! We carry soft treats in every flavor and size imaginable. Some favorites are Solid Gold treats which come in lamb, beef, and turkey flavors, and Dog Nips Chicken Wraps which are a strip of chicken wrapped around a whole chunk of fruit.

Tiny sized soft treats are perfect for training rewards. Because they are soft, the treats get eaten up pretty quickly so your training session isn’t interrupted by lots of chewing – Simon and Huey’s Treats are a great size for training. We also carry some very aromatic treats, like Smoked Salmon Jerkey, which is full of Omega 3 fatty acids and are perfect for lure & reward training or when training in a distracting environment and you need something extra good to reward your dog's attention.

Finally, we offer chews, which are longer lasting and will give your dog’s jaws a workout. Dogs love chewing on Bully Sticks,, and ours are from free range cattle that were given no hormones or antibiotics, and no chemicals were used in processing. We also carry natural pressed rawhide which is chemical free and safer than regular rawhide because it tends to flake off in smaller pieces so there is less choking hazard.

So now that you’ve found healthy and natural dog treats, go ahead and fill up the cupboard… and give your poor dog a bone, (so sorry, I just couldn't resist that one).
